ARR conducts asbestos abatement on a wide variety of materials. Asbestos can be found in many products: Floor Tile, Mastic (glue), Joint Compound (in gyp board), Vinyl Sheet Flooring, Fire Proofing (Sprayed on steel Beams), Hot/Cold Pipe Insulation (TSI, Thermal System Insulation), HVAC Duct Systems (Mastic Wrap), Cementitious Panels and Material (Most popular is the slate looking panels on the outside of old houses), Flume hoods and pipes (Venting systems), Electrical Wiring (Insulation coating), Surfacing Material (Textured Ceiling), Steam Pipe Insulation, Boiler Tanks, Glazing and Caulk in Windows and the list goes on and on.
ARR has worked on large University Campuses throughout the State of Alabama, Multiple School Districts, Government Facilities, Municipalities, Industries, Power Generating Plants and Multiple General Contractors On every abatement project, ARR assesses the work plan, sets up the proper containment by sealing off the abatement area with 6mil poly and creating a negative pressure environment in the abatement area. Negative air machines are used to create this affect. The purpose is to keep any fibers contained in the work area and filter those fibers through HEPA filters. Once containment and negative pressure is achieved, the workers will suit up in full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and the abatement process will begin. Depending on the size of the project and the type of Asbestos Containing Material (ACM) to be abated, the proper steps will be taken to complete the project. ARR has a Third-Party Air Monitor that monitors its workers and work area for fiber counts. After the bulk removal the final clean and detail portion of the work will commence. Again, depending on the size and scope of the project the type of detail will follow. Once final cleaning is accomplished, ARR will call for the Final Clearance. Final Clearance Testing can be performed by the Owners Consultant or ARR can provide a Third-Party Inspection and the results of his/her testing results. ARR has NEVER failed a Clearance test!!!
